Real Madrid send heartfelt public message to Cristiano Ronaldo | OneFootball

La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Wednesday sent a heartfelt happy birthday message the way of club icon Cristiano Ronaldo.

Veteran frontman Ronaldo, for his part, reached a milestone birthday today.

Despite continuing to score goals for fun in Saudi Arabia, and playing a prominent role for the Portuguese national team, CR7 is now 40 years of age.

Messages of well wishes, in turn, have since come pouring in for one of the greatest players to ever lace up a pair of boots.

And, as alluded to above, amongst the very first to send a message the way of Ronaldo, upon the clock striking midnight last night, were Real Madrid.

In a classy post across the club’s social media platforms, the Spanish champions wrote:

‘Dear @Cristiano, from Real Madrid, we want to send you our warmest wishes on your 40th birthday. Every madridista is proud of the legend that you are and what you represent for our history. Have a great day with your family and loved ones.’
