Now, after tasting success internationally, Morata is slated to sign for AC Milan. The deal is finalized, with Milan set to pay Morata’s €15 million release clause.

While Morata and Real Madrid no longer harbour any association, Los Blancos will still benefit from this sale, enjoying a welcome windfall of cash.

Real Madrid will receive almost half a million from Morata

Indeed, according to Mundo Deportivo, Real Madrid will earn a small share of the pie from Alvaro Morata’s €15 million transfer to Milan, thanks to his release clause with Atletico Madrid.

And 5% of this fee will be allocated to training rights. This means €750,000 will be distributed among the clubs where Morata trained, based on his age and the years he spent with them.

Additionally, FIFA’s Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players stipulate that 5% of these €750,000 goes to the clubs where he played between the ages of 12 and 16.

This percentage increases to 10% for the clubs he played for between the ages of 16 and 23.

Given that Morata ascended through the Merengues’ youth ranks and spent five of his crucial development years (ages 16-23) at the club, Real Madrid gains the most from this law.

The club receives 10% of €750,000 for five seasons, totalling €375,000. An additional 5% is allocated for the 2008-2009 season when Morata was 15 years old, amounting to €37,500. Together, this totals €412,500.
