A headline member of the frontline at La Liga giants Real Madrid has this week revealed his hopes of staying put with the club for the remainder of his playing days.

The player in question? Vinícius Jr.

Wide-man Vinícius is for his part fresh off a starring performance in the colours of Real in the early hours of Friday.

En route to a 3-0 downing of RB Salzburg in the Club World Cup, the Brazilian shone bright en route to clinching Man of the Match honours.

Of his side’s three goals, Vinícius played a direct hand in two, courtesy of a goal and an assist.

And as alluded to above, post-match, the 24-year-old was in jubilant mood.

Drawn on his Real Madrid future during an exchange with the media at Lincoln Financial Field, Vinícius made use of the opportunity to confirm:

“Real Madrid is the club of my life! I hope to continue here for many and many years. I love Real Madrid. I owe everything to this club. Pressure and criticism are not a problem. I’m so happy with this club, the new coach Xabi and these players.”
