Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé has on Friday secured for himself a place atop the goal contributions chart at this summer’s World Cup.

This comes owing to his exploits in France’s latest outing at the competition.

Didier Deschamps’ troops are currently locked in action in their final World Cup group stage fixture, facing off with a dangerous Norway side.

The aforementioned Mbappé was afforded a starting berth for the evening, taking his place as Les Bleus’ attacking spearhead.

And across the matchup to date, the 27-year-old has continued to produce at an elite rate in the final third.

After finding the net four times across France’s first two outings in North America this summer, Mbappé has turned creator, to lay on a pair of goals for Ballon d’Or holder Ousmane Dembélé.

And as alluded to above, in the process, the attacker has moved clear atop the combined goal/assist charts at the World Cup.

With six direct contributions now to his name, Mbappé has overtaken both Argentina talisman Lionel Messi, and Real Madrid teammate Vinícius Jr.
