A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid continued to play through the pain barrier in the club’s latest outing.

The player in question? Antonio Rüdiger.

Real Madrid are of course currently locked in action, in Saudi Arabia.

With a place in the finale of the Spanish Super Cup on the line, Los Blancos have locked horns with arch rivals Atlético Madrid.

The aforementioned Rüdiger was for his part afforded a starting berth for the clash, at the heart of Real’s defence.

A little over 20 minutes from time, though, the German international was hooked from proceedings by Xabi Alonso, looking less than comfortable whilst making his way from the field of play.

And as much comes with Rüdiger having actually played through a fresh bout of pain on Wednesday.

As confirmed by Blancos insider Miguel Angel Diaz earlier in the day, the former Chelsea man is struggling with a knee complaint at present.
