Tottenham Hotspur are pursuing a deal for Real Madrid star Rodrygo.

However, the 24-year-old has no interest in joining the club (h/t Foot Mercato).

The Lilywhites reportedly enquired about the Brazilian, but were told he is unwilling to join them.

Rodrygo’s future at Madrid is uncertain following the arrival of Xabi Alonso as manager.

The forward was a key first-team member for Carlo Ancelotti, but barely featured in the FIFA Club World Cup under Alonso.

Rodrygo has three years left on his contract at the Santiago Bernabeu, but the Spanish giants are open to letting him leave.

Tottenham have signed Mohammed Kudus, Matheys Tel, Luka Vuskovic, Kevin Danso and Kota Takai this summer.

But they are not done yet as they aim to bring in further reinforcements for Premier League and Champions League campaigns in 2025-26.

Heung-min Son is expected to leave Tottenham amid interest from Los Angeles FC. Spurs are ready to cash in on the South Korean, who has just a year left on his contract.

With Son expected to depart, Tottenham are looking to make a marquee addition to the squad.

They identified Rodrygo as an ideal option, but will have to look elsewhere.
