Real Madrid star Rodrygo has this week spoken out for the latest time regarding his struggles for game time under the watch of new head coach Xabi Alonso.
Frontman Rodrygo is for his part of course in the midst of a difficult individual campaign to date.
Sitting behind the likes of Kylian Mbappé, Vinícius Jr. and even youngster Franco Mastantuono in the attacking pecking order in Spain’s capital, the 24-year-old has been afforded just three starts across all competitions.
His long-time drought in front of goal is no doubt contributing to as much, with Rodrygo having not found the net in Real Madrid’s colours for 28 outings in succession.
Speaking after being afforded his latest start on the international front on Tuesday evening, the Brazilian was therefore drawn on his situation at club level once again.
And Rodrygo was characteristically professional in his response, explaining:
“Xabi Alonso? I have to keep working to try and earn the coach’s trust, like I have with Brazil. Only during training can I show my dedication and I’ll have more chances.”
