Real Madrid midfielder Thiago Pitarch has made his intentions clear regarding his international future amid growing interest from Morocco.
The young midfielder, who has been on the radar of both nations due to his dual eligibility, has publicly leaned towards Spain, making it evident where his ambitions lie at this stage of his career.
Speaking through official national team channels, Pitarch did not hesitate when addressing his long-term goals. With clarity and confidence, he stated,
“My dream? To make my debut with the senior national team and win titles,” he began.
He followed that up by stating his commitment to steady growth, making it clear that his focus remains on progression rather than external noise.
“If I’m here, it’s because I want to make it to the top. Step by step,” he added.
These comments arrive at a time when Morocco have been actively trying to convince him to switch allegiances.
The North African nation have made a direct effort to bring him into their setup, with Yassine Bounou even personally opening the door.
The goalkeeper made Morocco’s position very clear while speaking about Pitarch’s situation. He said, “We will always welcome him with open arms.”
Despite that strong push, Pitarch’s mindset appears unchanged.

When asked about his current journey, he offered his perspective by stating,
“I’m really happy. I’m living a dream, both with my club and with the national team. I’ve been working toward this since I started. It’s my dream.
“I’ve fought for this every day I’ve gone to practice or played a game. Right now, I’m making it come true.”
He also addressed how he is handling the growing attention around his rise, choosing to stay grounded despite the spotlight.
“I try not to think about it too much. I’m taking it in stride. We’re a pretty humble family. We’re not getting too carried away. Just like always.
“My friends are a little more blown away. They always support me and treat me like one of the gang.”
Even with increasing recognition, the midfielder is keen to avoid being treated differently within the squad.
He made that clear when speaking about the attention he is receiving.
“I don’t really like this either. It seems like I’m the star, but I want to be just another player.
“I don’t want to be any more important than any of my teammates. That’s how I see it,” he concluded.
