A head-turning piece of news, summing up the anger of Real Madrid’s players with Lamine Yamal prior to the weekend’s Clásico, has come to the fore online.

This comes amid the revelation that several members of Xabi Alonso’s squad are reported to have personally requested to take their place on the left wing against Barcelona.

Why? To be afforded the chance to rough up Lamine Yamal.

As per a report from Diario Sport, a member of the board of directors at Barcelona recently received news that ‘several Real Madrid players asked to play on the left wing to kick the Barça winger’.

The anger on the part of those involved with Lamine of course stems from the 18-year-old’s recent comments regarding Real Madrid as a club.

Speaking during a public appearance in the buildup to Sunday’s meeting between Spanish football’s two leading clubs, Lamine revealed his take that Los Blancos continue to ‘steal and complain’ on a frequent basis.

When all was said and done in El Clásico, though, it was Xabi Alonso’s troops who had the last laugh, deservedly emerging on the right side of a 2-1 result to move five points clear atop the La Liga table.
