Franco Mastantuono arrived at Real Madrid last summer, joining from River Plate for a transfer fee in excess of €60 million.
The teenage prodigy has not had it easy since arriving in the Spanish capital, with fitness issues and inconsistent form hampering him.
But in a short period of time, he has forged a strong bond with his teammates, with Jude Bellingham, in particular, becoming a close friend of the Argentine starlet.
Both Bellingham and Mastantuono have shown their close bond on social media, often posting stories tagging each other, making it clear that beyond being teammates they are also good friends.
In an interview with Davo (h/t AS), the Argentine shed light on his equation with the England international, who is currently sidelined with an injury.

“I get along very well with Bellingham. He speaks Spanish, more or less, but I don’t speak English. There isn’t much communication, but I love him a lot ; he’s helped me a lot,” said Mastantuono.
“I don’t understand what he says to me in English, and he doesn’t understand everything I say to him. We communicate on a deeper level,” he added.
During the interview, Mastantuono also spoke about another Real Madrid teammate, lavishing praise on Thibaut Courtois and calling him the best in his position.
“Courtois is the best goalkeeper in history,” noted Mastantuono.
He’s impressive. He had an amazing Champions League final against Liverpool,” the Argentine concluded.
