Nico Paz has been dominating the transfer market lately, especially following his blazing performances for Como this season.

After emerging as one of the rising stars in Serie A last season, Paz has continued his form in the new season, flourishing under the leadership of Cesc Fabregas.

This has led to intense speculation over Paz’s imminent return to Santiago Bernabeu, with Real Madrid having an option to buy him back for just €10 million in the summer of 2026.

Real Madrid and Como meeting scheduled soon

According to Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid and Como are scheduled to meet in the coming days to finalize an agreement that would see Nico Paz return to the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer of 2026.

It appears the two clubs are eager to avoid potential complications down the line and are prioritizing an early agreement.

While Los Blancos hold a buy-back clause for the Argentine prodigy, the negotiations are expected to result in a fee higher than the stipulated €10 million.

Rather than simply triggering the clause – a move that could strain ties – Madrid are reportedly willing to offer a compensation package that exceeds the contractual figure.

This gesture ensures Como are fairly rewarded for their role in Paz’s explosion this season while securing the player’s future in the Spanish capital.

In just 12 starts for Fàbregas’ side this season, Paz has recorded five goals and four assists, establishing himself as the creative heartbeat of the team.

While rumors earlier this week hinted at a potential January recall to help navigate Madrid’s current crisis, those have been firmly ruled out.

The player is committed to finishing his season in Italy and Como are determined to keep their star man for the full campaign. Hence, a move is possible only in the summer of 2026.
