If there is no drastic turn of events, everything points to Endrick leaving Real Madrid in the coming days to join Olympique Lyon on loan in the winter transfer window.

In fact, reports earlier today suggested that Endrick would be linking up with his new team immediately after Christmas and be presented as their new signing on New Year’s Day.

Real Madrid consider Endrick’s exit as positive

Now, according to MARCA, within Real Madrid, Endrick’s loan move to Lyon is viewed as necessary and in a very positive light.

At Valdebebas, Endrick is considered a strategic investment for both the present and the future. As such, they understand that the best way to protect that value is to give him minutes and continuity away from the Bernabeu, where that is currently almost impossible.

A loan would not only prevent the teenager’s development from stalling, but also help to relaunch himself within European football, where several clubs continue to monitor his progress.

Endrick himself shares Real Madrid’s view. He believes that leaving in the winter window is key to fighting for real playing time, gaining confidence and continuing to develop at the highest level.

Moreover, regular football in a top European league could be fundamental in keeping him on Brazil manager Carlo Ancelotti’s radar ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Lyon, for their part, value Endrick’s potential and ability to make an impact. They believe they can offer him an ideal environment in which he can take on a leading role from the outset, after making only two appearances, totalling 22 minutes, at Real Madrid this season.

There are a few details still to be resolved, but everything indicates that Endrick will leave Real Madrid temporarily to sign for Lyon, with all parties viewing the move as a very positive one.
