Real Madrid and Manchester City will face each other in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 clash at the Santiago Bernabéu on Wednesday evening.

The Spanish giants approach the fixture with several injury problems that have reduced their options in recent weeks.

Jude Bellingham remains unavailable after suffering a hamstring injury earlier this year, while Eder Militao and Dani Ceballos also continue to be sidelined.

Rodrygo is out with a cruciate ligament injury, and Alvaro Carreras is still recovering from a calf problem.

Kylian Mbappe is also expected miss the match because of a knee injury. However, he returned to training this week in a positive boost.

Defender David Alaba is dealing with a muscle issue and has not recovered in time to feature against Manchester City.

There is some positive news for Madrid, however, as Dean Huijsen and Franco Mastantuono have both been declared fit and could be included in the squad depending on Alvaro Arbeloa’s selection decisions.

Elsewhere, Eduardo Camavinga remains a slight doubt and will be assessed closer to kick-off. Meanwhile, Vinícius Junior is likely to carry the attack along with Gonzalo Garcia as he takes on greater responsibility due to injuries among the forward players.
