Rodrygo’s situation is shaping up to be one of Real Madrid’s main transfer sagas this summer, alongside Vinicius Jr.’s stalled contract renewal.

Rodrygo currently stands behind Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius and Jude Bellingham in the pecking order at Real Madrid while Arda Guler seems to have overtaken him during the FIFA Club World Cup.

The 24-year-old forward barely from the closing stretch of the season, including the Club World Cup, and as such, an exit has become a possibility.

The Merengues have placed a €100 million price tag on the player and are unwilling to negotiate any discount.

Many interested but no offers

In a report by Brazilian outlet UOL (h/t SPORT), Rodrygo’s camp claims that up to eleven clubs have expressed interest in the winger. The list allegedly includes all the top Premier League sides, as well as PSG.

Yet despite heavy activity in the Premier League, no club has made a formal approach or presented an offer to Real Madrid for the 24-year-old attacker.

Arsenal were linked heavily with Rodrygo in recent weeks, but his wage demands seem to have turned them away, with the Gunners roping in Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyokeres to bolster their attack.

Meanwhile, Liverpool, despite being linked heavily, have roped in Hugo Ekitike and are going after Alexander Isak as well, raising question marks about whether they can pursue Rodrygo.

There is still over a month left in the transfer window – plenty of time for movement. For now, it appears Rodrygo will have to report to pre-season, and try to make the best impression.

The squad is scheduled to begin preparations for the new campaign on Monday, 4 August, following a 24-day break.

Rodrygo has been without an agent since parting ways with Nick Arcuri in late 2022, prior to the Qatar World Cup. His father, Eric, has taken over and is actively shopping his son.

Currently, several intermediaries are handling the player’s profile. Notably, Kia Joorabchian, a prominent agent in the English market, and Pini Zahavi, are involved in the process of finding a new club for the Real Madrid ace.
