Real Madrid defender Jacobo Ramon has made up his mind that his time at the club is coming to an end.

According to reports from AS, Ramon has decided to leave Los Blancos this summer after realising there is no clear path for him into the first team.

The decision has not been taken lightly. For months, Ramon focused solely on his football. But after the Club World Cup, the reality of his situation has become impossible to ignore.

Staying with Real Madrid Castilla is no longer an option, and a promotion to the senior squad isn’t on the table either. After carefully considering his future, he knows it’s time to move on.

Como leading, but La Liga clubs interested too

The next step for Ramon will likely involve a permanent transfer rather than a loan. One of the clubs pushing hardest for his signature is Como, managed by former Spain and Barcelona star Cesc Fabregas.

Como are hoping to follow the same strategy they used with Nico Paz, a full transfer that includes a buy-back option for Real Madrid.

The idea is to give young players like Ramon the chance to develop while still keeping the door open for a possible return in the future.

But Como aren’t the only club interested. Several teams from Spain’s Primera Division are also in the mix. Real Betis, Levante, and Rayo Vallecano are all monitoring the situation closely.

Each club offers a different project, as some are established in La Liga, while others are looking to build something new after promotion.

For now, Ramon’s contract with Real Madrid runs until 2028, so any move will involve negotiations. But one thing is clear that his future no longer lies at the Santiago Bernabeu.
