Real Madrid’s Arda Güler on Bayer Leverkusen’s list as a Florian Wirtz replacement | OneFootball

Bild reports that Bayer Leverkusen are still looking for a replacement for the outgoing Florian Wirtz, and a new name is now on the list.

Leverkusen’s number one choice is Nico Paz, who is currently at Serie A side Como, but Real Madrid have a buyback clause in the 20-year-old’s deal. With Madrid likely to activate it, they would then demand around €30m for the Argentine international.

In the event that Madrid does not let Paz leave, Leverkusen will then turn their attentions to Arda Güler. Other names that Leverkusen have been linked to are Johan Bakayoko of PSV, Bournemouth’s Justin Kluivert and most recently, Igor Paixão, who plays for Feyenoord.

Leverkusen will receive the money for Wirtz’s transfer soon as the 22-year-old’s move to Liverpool is set to reach its conclusion this week, with his medical and announcement set for later this week.
