Real Madrid’s Vinícius Jr: Barcelona star ‘can win the World Cup single-handedly’ | OneFootball

Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr. has this week moved to make clear his appreciation for the talents of Barcelona counterpart Lamine Yamal.

This of course comes as the pair prepare to vie for the biggest prize in international football this summer.

Vinícius has been named in Carlo Ancelotti’s Brazil squad for the World Cup, with youngster Lamine having been included in Spain’s equivalent.

The two nations are viewed as being amongst the favourites to go all the way at the tournament, with Spain the outright frontrunners in the eyes of many.

Speaking during an interview with Caze TV, as cited by Mundo Deportivo, this week, Vinícius was therefore drawn on Spain’s chances in North America.

And the Real Madrid talisman made use of the opportunity to lavish praise on Barcelona prodigy Lamine Yamal, explaining:

“Spain has Lamine Yamal, who is one of the best players in the world. He does incredible things on the field. He’s a player who can win the World Cup single-handedly. He’s one of those players you’d pay to see play.”
