Mikel Oyarzabal again led from the front, scoring a superb first-half goal and later a penalty, but Real Sociedad were held 3-3 by Rayo in a frantic contest.
According to AS, Caleta-Car headed narrowly wide on two minutes and Soler tested Cárdenas from range soon after. Turrientes went close on five, then combined with Barrenetxea as Oyarzabal struck on 22. Jon Martín picked out Sergio Gómez with a superb long pass to create a chance, and Caleta-Car later escaped a booking.
Kubo struggled for rhythm and took a knock before the break but continued. Five minutes after the restart Remiro denied Camello, Cárdenas then foiled Oyarzabal on 58, and at 65 Remiro beat away Ratiu’s effort, though he was less sure under high balls. Aramburu contained Ilias, Ratiu and Pep Chavarría but faded going forward.
A second-half switch of shape suited Sergio Gómez, who attacked the full flank, teed up Óskarsson for 1-2 and was booked before coming off on 90. Barrenetxea and Kubo were withdrawn on 55, while Soler quietly ran midfield and helped launch the move for the opener.
Óskarsson had a tough night, often losing the ball with his back to goal, yet finished well and was booked for frustration before going off on 66. Sucic came on with Marín, who worked well and won the penalty that Oyarzabal converted for 1-3. Gorrotxategi entered amid the chaos and Yangel could not impose himself.
