Real Sociedad star Takefusa Kubo is in the sights of Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur ahead of the winter transfer window.

This comes amid the understanding that the Japanese has emerged as a leading transfer target for the Spurs brass.

Wide-man Kubo is for his part in the midst of something of a hit-and-miss campaign in San Sebastian to date.

Blighted by ongoing injury problems, the 24-year-old has managed just a solitary goal contribution across 10 La Liga appearances.

The aforementioned Tottenham, though, are evidently of the opinion that whilst Kubo’s form is temporary, his class is permanent.

For this reason, the north Londoners are said to be giving real consideration to launching a January assault on his signature.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:

‘According to the BBC, Tottenham are closely monitoring the Japanese player as part of their transfer planning.’

Kubo’s contract at Anoeta is understood to contain a release clause in the region of €60 million.
