It was very funny but also a little odd. Surely Trump should have moved out the way when the trophy lift happened!? Bizarre.

But now the talk is whether Trump will be at the actual World Cup this summer as it is being hosted in the USA.

Feel the heat

In an interview with The Daily Mail, James has warned his England team mates about the heat they will face in America in the summer.

‘You feel the heat the minute you step outside of the hotel,’ James said. ‘It’s super difficult to play in that heat, especially us playing in England, there’s not anything like that. They are difficult conditions to play in and the pitches when we were there weren’t the greatest either and that made it a little harder, but hopefully by the time the World Cup comes around, it’s better.

‘It’s been a key message: that the conditions will be tough in the middle of the summer in America. Everyone is aware of that. We’re trying to prepare as best as we can for that.’

Passing the buck

James was surprised to have Trump standing alongside him when he lifted that trophy in July, and he says Harry Kane can babysit the president this time if England go all the way at the World Cup!

On Trump muscling in on any potential trophy ceremony, James said: ‘I’ll leave that to Harry.’
