Rennes and Cercle Brugge have reached an agreement in principle for the transfer of Kazeem Olaigbe (22) to the Ligue 1 side, according to Le Parisien. The 22-year-old will bolster Habib Beye’s attacking options and join Les Rouge et Noir for a deadline-day move. Barring any medical hiccup, Rennes will look to sign four players on Monday with Olaigbe, Stuttgart centre-back Anthony Rouault, Montpellier centre-forward Mousa Al-Tamari and Marseille midfielder Ismaël Koné on loan.
Rennes are in the market for a left-sided winger as they parted ways with Portuguese striker Jota, who completed a return to Celtic FC, and Amine Gouiri. The Algeria international joined Les Phocéens in a €22m deal. Olaigbe has already reached an agreement on personal terms to join Rennes, who returned to winning ways this Sunday against Strasbourg. Olaigbe has logged eight goals and one assist in 31 appearances so far this season with Cercle Brugge.
