According to Algemeen Dagblad, there is a big chance that Ajax will sell Kenneth Taylor and Brian Brobbey in the coming months. There are reportedly several factors that make the Amsterdammers want to sell these two key players this summer.

Since his arrival as technical director of Ajax, Alex Kroes has been busy reorganizing the salary structure. He has already replaced old contracts with new commitments in which the salary can grow with performance in Europe. Taylor and Brobbey do not have such a contract yet and therefore still receive salaries according to ‘the old way’. With this, a sale doesn’t seem to be out of the question.

It seems inevitable that clubs will show interest in the duo next summer. Taylor is having a great season for Ajax, with nine goals and six assists in the Eredivisie. Last year, he was already linked with a move to Italy, but that transfer did not happen. Brobbey may be less accurate this season, but his physique and his play make him seem an intriguing option for foreign clubs.

Another reason Ajax may want to sell Brobbey and Taylor are the remaining contract durations for the duo. The midfielder and striker have a contract until the summer of 2027, and Kroes wants to prevent them from making a discounted transfer in the last two years of that contract.
