Andriy Lunin’s future at Real Madrid had been a topic of much debate last summer given his contract situation and the fact that he lost his place in the team in the final phase of the season the moment Thibaut Courtois returned from his ACL injury.
Amidst speculations, though, the Ukrainian international ended up signing a new contract with Los Blancos, committing himself to the club until 2030.
However, once again, the 25-year-old has found himself in the shadows of Courtois this season, playing just ten times in all competitions when the Belgian was out injured.
Now, according to journalist Manuel Amor, Lunin’s situation, as far as his future at Real Madrid is concerned, remains open for the summer.
Indeed, as per the report, several clubs have informed the Ukrainian shot-stopper’s agent, Jorge Mendes, that they would be interested in signing him in the summer transfer window.

Lunin, who is expected to start in tomorrow’s Copa del Rey clash against Leganes, rejected multiple offers last summer to continue at Real Madrid.
However, whether he is prepared to do so again, after having been reduced to a minor role in Carlo Ancelotti’s setup once again this season remains a big question mark.
With a number of clubs sounding out his agent, Mendes, about their interest, the 25-year-old should not find it hard to land a new employer if he so desires to leave.
As far as Real Madrid are concerned, they are also unlikely to stand in the way of the player’s exit, if he wishes to leave, as long as they receive a satisfactory offer.
There is nothing concrete at this point, however, and the situation remains open. Only time will tell whether this ends up being Lunin’s last at Real Madrid.
