Football’s transfer cycle is often a story of second chances. Players once overlooked deals that never materialised, and clubs returning to familiar targets after realising what they missed. This is precisely where we find Marcus Thuram, the Inter Milan striker who has Premier League scouts flocking to Italy once again.
According to TBR Football, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Chelsea have all been monitoring Thuram’s performances, sending scouts to watch him in action—including a game against Feyenoord in the Champions League, where he duly responded by scoring his 15th goal of the season.

Thuram is no stranger to English interest. Before joining Inter Milan on a free transfer in 2023, he had been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League. Unai Emery wanted to bring him to Arsenal in 2019, but the deal never materialised.
Now, after an impressive spell in Italy, his stock has never been higher. Inter Milan are leading Serie A, and Thuram has been integral to their success, operating as both a central striker and a wide forward. His ability to score, assist, and adapt makes him a rare commodity—one that top Premier League clubs are now keen to secure.
One of the key elements of Thuram’s transfer equation is his £70m release clause. While this is a significant figure, it’s relatively modest compared to other elite strikers on the market. Inter Milan, aware of Thuram’s rising value, are reportedly looking to negotiate a new contract that would either remove or increase the clause.

For Arsenal, Liverpool, and Chelsea, the question is whether to move now or wait. Any hesitation could see Inter strengthen their hold on Thuram, making a future deal even more difficult.
For Mikel Arteta, Thuram’s versatility makes him an ideal signing. Arsenal are in the market for both a striker and a left winger, and Thuram’s ability to excel in both roles makes him a logical fit. His off-the-ball movement, finishing, and ability to link up with teammates would complement Arsenal’s attacking style perfectly.
Liverpool, on the other hand, could view Thuram as a long-term replacement for their ageing forward line. With Mohamed Salah’s future uncertain, having an attacker who can drift wide and play centrally would add another dimension to their squad.

For Chelsea, the search for a consistent goalscorer has been a never-ending saga. Thuram’s ability to contribute both goals and assists could finally provide the cutting edge they desperately need.
The battle for Thuram’s signature is heating up. But will he be playing in the Premier League next season?
For Arsenal, Liverpool, and Chelsea fans, the idea of Marcus Thuram arriving in the Premier League is one to savour.
For Arsenal, this could be the final piece of Arteta’s puzzle. Thuram is a clinical striker but also a creative force, meaning he could seamlessly slot into Arsenal’s fluid attacking system. His intelligent pressing and tactical flexibility are exactly what Arteta demands from his forwards. If Arsenal want to challenge for major honours, this is the type of signing they need.
Liverpool fans should also be intrigued. With Salah’s long-term future uncertain, Thuram could be an ideal successor. His ability to operate in multiple attacking positions makes him a perfect fit for Liverpool’s dynamic system. He is tactically versatile, something Arne Slot would undoubtedly appreciate.
And then there’s Chelsea—a club desperate for a reliable striker. Thuram offers more than just goals. His link-up play, dribbling ability, and positional awareness would give Chelsea a much-needed focal point in attack. After years of striker struggles, this could be the move that finally stabilises their frontline.
Ultimately, all three clubs have valid reasons to push for Thuram. The question is: who will act first?
