Chelsea are becoming increasingly keen on Manchester United target Elliot Anderson, but a major player sale could be required first according to reports.
The Blues were once again busy in the summer, and completely revamped their frontline with five new attacking signings.
Jorrel Hato arrived as much needed back-up at left back for Marc Cucurella, but much to the disappointment of supporters there was no new centre back or goalkeeper.
With the January transfer window fast approaching rumours have started to circulate not only about the upcoming window, but also next summer.
Chelsea are usually active in the transfer window, and have been linked with a number of players, but according to Caught Offside they are keen on Anderson.

The report states Manchester City and Manchester United are interested in the midfielder, but Chelsea have also scouted him.
Caught Offside add Forest are unlikely to let Anderson go on the cheap, and any deal would require big money, which means Chelsea might have to make a sale first.
The Blues are well stocked in midfield with Enzo Fernandez, Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo, whilst Andrey Santos and Dario Essugo became part of the first team squad in the summer.
Chelsea have been previously linked with Anderson, but a move would only make sense if a midfielder were to leave.
It would appear very unlikely Chelsea would sell either Fernandez or Caicedo unless they decided they wanted to leave the club.
One player who could leave to create space for Anderson would be Lavia, given the constant injury issues he’s had since joining.

It’s been confirmed Lavia is set to miss at least month with a quad injury he picked up in the Champions League clash with Qarabag.
The Belgian arrived in the summer of 2023, but has only made 30 appearances for the Blues, and if that doesn’t improve this season, they could look to cut their losses.
