However, it appears they could reignite their interest in a target they unfortunately failed to land in the January window, despite making it clear they wanted him.

Give Me Sport have reported the Blues haven’r ruled out going back in for Tel if Spurs opt against making his loan from Bayern permanent, and are currently playing a waiting game.

The report adds Chelsea’s long standing interest in the Frenchman hasn’t gone away, with the attacker said to fit the bill of what the Blues are looking for, but Tel felt Stamford Bridge wasn’t the right destination for him.

Spurs have an option to make the 19-year-old’s move from Bayern permanent for £45m, which if they do will obviously extinguish any hopes of Chelsea landing him.

Tel has two goals in nine appearances in all competitions for Spurs this season, but given how indecisive he was in January he might want to assess his options once again.

The forward will likely want to play Champions League football and unless Spurs win the Europa League that won’t be happening in North London, so this could be one to keep an eye on.
