Friday’s reports claim that Damien Comolli will not voluntarily step down from his role as CEO of Juventus, and that he wishes to organise a press conference once the 2025-26 season comes to an end in order to ‘recognise his mistakes’ and to discuss his plans for the future.
Tension is rising in Bianconeri circles as Juventus look set to miss out on qualification to the Champions League for the first time in 15 years. The Old Lady is sixth in Serie A heading into the final round of fixtures this weekend, two points shy of the top four and requiring favours from multiple sides if they are to make the cut.
The situation has put the futures of all of Juve’s senior management structure in doubt: From Comolli to Modesto and even head coach Spalletti, it remains unclear as to who will still be in place come the start of the 2026-27 season. Recent reports claim that Giorgio Chiellini is the only Juventus director ‘guaranteed’ to still be there in a few months’ time.
Club owner John Elkann is expected to hold meetings with some of Juventus’s key figures once the season comes to an end, and it is expected that the picture will become a bit clearer once those happen next week.
Comolli is expected to meet with Elkann to review his 2025-26 season and to evaluate his future at the club, but despite calls for him to go from large sections of the Juventus supporter base, reports from Tuttosport claim that Comolli will not voluntarily step down, nor does he wish to give up on any of his current duties.

Friday’s report claims that Comolli recognises the mistakes that have been made in 2025-26, that already has plans for the 2026-27 season and that he wishes to discuss both topics in a post-season press conference to clear the air.
However, at the same time, Spalletti has reportedly already spoken to Elkann and requested certain guarantees, including more influence in football-related decision-making processes, which somewhat weakens Comolli’s position.

And, Tuttosport claims that the suggestion that Chiellini could take on a bigger role within the club is becoming increasingly popular in Juventus circles.
