Barcelona moved ahead of the rest in the summer transfer window to secure a deal for Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United.
The Catalan club agreed to pay a fixed €70 million for the English winger, with another €10 million available in variables.
Now, according to the Mirror (h/t Mundo Deportivo), the details of that variable amount have been revealed, with the add-ons linked to trophies and the player’s level of participation.
Barcelona would pay €5 million if major trophies such as La Liga or the Champions League are won during Gordon’s contract, which runs until 2031.
The club would also pay €1 million per season if Gordon plays at least 60 percent of matches.
In simple terms, if Barcelona end up paying the full €10 million, it likely means the move has worked.

The report also claims Newcastle have kept a percentage of a future sale, although the exact figure has not been specified.
That detail is worth noting because it shows Newcastle were not only focused on the immediate fee.
They also wanted protection in case Gordon develops further at Barça and moves again for an even bigger amount later in his career.
For Barcelona, a fixed €70 million is already a major investment, but the add-ons are tied to positive outcomes.
If Gordon plays regularly and helps Flick’s team win important trophies, Barça will not mind paying more for him.
The Englishman has been signed for Flick’s team to give Barcelona more speed, pressing, depth and directness in attack.
Those are qualities Flick clearly wants as he tries to build a side that can compete with more intensity in Europe.

Gordon has started England’s first two World Cup matches and has not yet fully exploded, but his work rate and commitment have been clear.
Stylistically, there are not many wingers who suit a Flick system more than the Englishman. The club did not sign him only for moments on the ball.
They signed him because he can run, press, stretch defences and give the front line a more aggressive edge.
Of course, the price tag comes with its own kind of pressure. A package that can reach €80 million is not small, especially for a club still recovering their financial might.
It remains to be seen how Gordon’s time at Barça plays out and whether the club end up paying the full €10 million in add-ons owed to Newcastle.
If that happens, it most likely means that no one cares about his price tag anymore, and for the Catalan club, that is the dream scenario from this transfer.
