Widely considered as one of Europe’s hottest prospects, Branimir Mlacic has drawn inquiries from several top clubs.

Indeed, numerous European powerhouses, such as Barcelona and Marseille, have been hot on Mlacic’s trail.

Meanwhile, La Liga heavyweights Real Madrid have emerged as outside candidates to lure him away from his homeland.

However, Inter are reportedly on the verge of securing the teenager’s signature.

After making contact with the player’s agent last month, Inter stepped up talks with Hajduk.

Furthermore, the clubs have agreed on a €5.5 million price tag.

Yet, Mlacic will not join the Nerazzurri immediately.

Instead, he will stay in Split until the end of the season to continue his development.

Despite his youth, Mlacic has already collected 14 league starts this season, establishing himself as Hajduk’s defensive cornerstone.
