Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez has reportedly strongly rebuffed interest from Premier League club Newcastle United.

This according to Argentine broadcaster Fox Argentina, via FCInterNews. They report that the 28-year-old’s agent hasn’t even picked up the phone for the Magpies.

Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez has attracted plenty of transfer interest throughout his time at the Nerazzurri.

The Argentine has been on the radar of teams like Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Barcelona.

However, Martinez has always remained loyal to Inter. Furthermore, last summer he signed a new long-term deal with Inter until the end of June 2029.

This summer, there hasn’t been much in the way of interest in Martinez.

However, according to Fox Argentina, there’s been a notable move for the Inter captain late in the transfer window.

The broadcaster anticipate that Newcastle United have made contact with Martinez’s agent.

However, reports Fox Argentina, Martinez’s agent Alejandro Camano did not even give a response to the Premier League club’s inquiries.

Therefore, it appears clear that the Argentine will strongly rebuff any interest from Newcastle as he looks to stay at Inter.
