Inter Milan President Beppe Marotta is back from holiday, and ready to resume the “diplomatic mission” to sign Ademola Lookman.
Today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, report that the Nerazzurri President will very soon hold more talks with Atalanta.
At the moment, Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman is not in Italy.
The Nigerian has been no-showing training with La Dea as he aims to force his club’s hand into selling him to Inter.
Lookman has not been the only one who’s been out of the country, though. Inter President Beppe Marotta has also been on his holiday.
But today, Marotta has returned to Italy.

According to Tuttosport, Marotta’s return to Italy is particularly significant for Inter’s pursuit of Lookman.
That is because of the fact that the talks to sign Lookman are such a “diplomatic mission.”
Atalanta have been intransigent in the face of Inter’s offers for Lookman. They have rejected two bids, and refused to give a firm counteroffer or price tag.
There is a feeling that Atalanta are digging in their heels because they want to avoid giving the impression of being a weak selling club.
Therefore, it will require some careful diplomacy on the part of Inter President Marotta to get through to Atalanta.
