Inter Milan target Tarik Muharemovic is reportedly not enthusiastic about the prospect of returning to former club Juventus in the summer.
According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, the 23-year-old would prefer a move to San Siro over a potential Bianconeri reunion.
Cristian Chivu’s men have placed Tarik Muharemovic at the top of their summer shortlist.
Indeed, the runaway Serie A leaders are looking to overhaul their defense at the end of the season.
With Stefan de Vrij, Matteo Darmian, and Francesco Acerbi expected to leave San Siro, Beppe Marotta is in the market for defensive reinforcements.
Furthermore, the Nerazzurri president has earmarked Muharemovic, who has made 27 league appearances this term, as his top target.
Juventus sold Muharemovic to Sassuolo last summer, but they’ve retained a 50% sell-on clause and a right of first refusal.
However, the player doesn’t want to return to the Allianz Stadium and would rather sign for Inter this summer.
Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri may have to shell out around €25 million to secure the Bosnian center-back’s services.
It’s also worth noting that Inter are considering including a counterpart in the deal to drive Muharemovic’s price down.
