Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram have reportedly smoothed over tensions after some hard feelings following the Inter Milan captain’s outburst.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez made plenty of waves with his recent comments.
Speaking frankly after Inter’s Club World Cup exit against Fluminense, the Argentine implored “whoever wants to leave, leave.”
This was a thinly-veiled dig at teammate Hakan Calhanoglu.
However, the Turk was not the only player in the Inter squad who took Martinez’s words harshly.

Yesterday, Inter coach Cristian Chivu brought the whole squad together for a meeting. The aim was to clear the air following Martinez’s comments.
And Marcus Thuram was reportedly one of the players to take the most issue with what Martinez had said.
This had naturally led to some worries that the rapport between the two strikers could become frayed.
However, according to the Corriere, Martinez and Thuram smoothed over the tensions yesterday. They discussed their issues frankly, and then had a cup of coffee together before leaving on their vacations.
