Serie A giants Inter Milan have yet to open talks with Al-Hilal over Joao Cancelo despite developing a strong interest.

According to Sport Mediaset via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri have only made contact with the player’s agent, Jorge Mendes.

Joao Cancelo has already informed Al-Hilal of his intention to leave Riyadh in the coming weeks.

Indeed, the 31-year-old is desperate to return to Europe, less than two years after swapping Manchester City for the Middle East.

Meanwhile, Inter have emerged as one of the leading candidates to sign him.
