Joao Cancelo has already informed Al-Hilal of his intention to leave Riyadh in the coming weeks.

Indeed, the 31-year-old is desperate to return to Europe, less than two years after swapping Manchester City for the Middle East.

Meanwhile, Inter have emerged as one of the leading candidates to sign him.

Cristian Chivu’s men are keen to sign a new wingback after losing Dutch star Denzel Dumfries to a long-term injury.

Furthermore, Luis Henrique has proved unreliable, prompting the club’s search for a new winger.

Cancelo would be a major coup for the Nerazzurri.

However, his substantial annual wages have deterred Inter from making an official approach.

Indeed, Cancelo earns around €18 million net per season, which is well beyond Inter’s financial reach.
