Juventus talisman Dusan Vlahovic is reportedly facing a race against time to recover for the upcoming clash against Inter Milan.

According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, the Serbian striker’s recovery is progressing better than expected.

Dusan Vlahovic sustained an adductor injury during Juventus’ 2-1 win over Cagliari in late November.

Therefore, he has missed the last six league matches and is expected to stay in the pits until the end of January.

Yet, Inter and Juventus will lock horns at San Siro in mid-February.

It’s been far from an impressive season for Vlahovic, who has only scored three goals in 13 Serie A appearances.

However, that’s still better than Lois Openda and Jonathan David.

Indeed, both summer signings have failed to meet expectations, prompting Juventus to return to the market for a new striker.

David has found the net in Serie A just twice, while Openda has only one league goal to his name.

With that in mind, Vlahovic’s return to action would significantly bolster Juventus’ firepower.

Meanwhile, the 25-year-old won’t renew his contract, with AC Milan and Barcelona looking to sign him on a free transfer in the summer.
