Spanish reports claim Juventus transfer target Bernardo Silva has been proposed to both Real Madrid and Barcelona, but they are not interested in the Manchester City star.

The midfielder confirmed what we’ve all known for a while, namely that he will leave the club at the end of the season when his contract runs down, making him an appetising prospect as a free agent.

Juve have been tracking his progress for a long time and consider themselves the favourites to snap up his signature.

However, the potential failure to qualify for the Champions League might put a dampener on their ambitions, and prompt Bernardo Silva to look elsewhere for his next destination.

Spanish newspaper AS claims that agent Jorge Mendes has over the last few days contacted both Real Madrid and Barcelona to propose that they sign the Portugal international.

The good news for Juventus is that neither club seemed particularly interested in signing the player, even though he is only 31 years old.

This is going to be a big lifestyle change wherever he goes after nine years at Manchester City.
