Report Leao will reject Fenerbahce, so Milan hope Galatasaray step up | OneFootball

There are reports Rafael Leao is ready to turn down Fenerbahce, as he wants to play in the Champions League, so Milan hope Galatasaray can convince him instead.

The player and his club are both eager to part ways this summer, feeling that his adventure has gone as far as it possibly could, and with no intention of discussing a new contract at San Siro.

While both had expected clubs to come lining up with offers, that hasn’t happened, save for Saudi Pro League and Turkish Super Lig sides.

Leao not convinced by Fenerbahce

According to MilanNews, Leao is ready to turn down the latest proposal from Fenerbahce, even if it is worth €8m per season plus up to a further €4m in performance-related bonuses.

It is reported that the Portugal international is only prepared to play for a side in the Champions League next season.

Milan and Leao therefore hope that Galatasaray can do enough to convince him of a transfer to Turkiye, especially after he was in the country with his family on vacation this summer.

He continues to dream that a Premier League club will make a bid, but Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool don’t seem interested enough yet.
