Manchester United’s pursuit of Juventus starlet Kenan Yildiz has taken another step forward, with TEAMtalk reporting that “Manchester United have made initial contact for Kenan Yildiz, sources have told TEAMtalk, with the Red Devils ready to make a move for the winger as we reveal Juventus’s stance on a potential exit.”
The 19-year-old Turkish international has been turning heads with his performances in Serie A and the Champions League. However, his recent lack of game time under Juventus boss Thiago Motta has prompted speculation about his future. With elite Premier League clubs circling, the question remains—will Juventus cash in on their rising star?

Yildiz has been one of the standout young talents in European football. Since joining Juventus in 2022, he has racked up six goals and four assists in 41 appearances across all competitions this season. More crucially, he has shown the versatility and attacking prowess that Premier League clubs crave.
United’s interest in Yildiz is hardly surprising. TEAMtalk’s sources confirm that “clubs including Man Utd, Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal have shown interest in a summer deal for Yildiz.” This suggests a broader competition for his signature, but also underlines how highly regarded he is within Europe’s elite.
With United seeking fresh attacking options, particularly on the wings, Yildiz’s ability to play across the frontline makes him a perfect fit. While his numbers aren’t mind-blowing, his potential ceiling is what excites clubs the most. At 19, he could develop into one of Europe’s most dangerous attackers with the right coaching and game time.
Juventus are well aware of Yildiz’s value. The club views him as a key player, but financial pressures could dictate their decision this summer. As TEAMtalk reports, “Juventus consider Yildiz a key player in their team, [but] the Italian giants are willing to cash in on him.”
Much will depend on their Champions League qualification. A top-four finish would strengthen their ability to keep hold of Yildiz, but missing out on Europe’s top competition could force their hand. The reported price tag is around €90million (£75.7m), a figure that would make him one of the most expensive teenage transfers in history.
Another factor at play is Juventus’ managerial situation. With Motta’s future uncertain, the next head coach will have a major influence on Yildiz’s decision. If the incoming boss prioritises youth development and guarantees Yildiz a prominent role, he may opt to stay. However, if the club continues to sideline him, then a move to England becomes more enticing.
United’s summer window looks set to be crucial in reshaping their squad. With uncertainty surrounding Jadon Sancho’s future and Antony failing to justify his hefty price tag, the need for wide reinforcements is clear. Yildiz, despite his inexperience, represents a long-term investment in a squad that Erik ten Hag (or his successor) needs to revitalise.
The challenge, of course, is the competition. If Liverpool, Arsenal, and Manchester City enter a bidding war, United may find themselves priced out—unless they act decisively. As it stands, “new contacts are expected in the coming weeks to keep the track hot,” according to TEAMtalk, suggesting that things could escalate quickly.
For Manchester United fans, Yildiz represents an exciting, albeit expensive, prospect. The Red Devils have lacked dynamism in wide areas, and while Yildiz isn’t the finished article, his ability to operate across multiple attacking positions makes him a smart target.
A £75.7m price tag is steep for a player who is yet to prove himself as an elite-level talent. However, in today’s market, investing in potential is the name of the game. Just look at how clubs are willing to spend big on emerging stars rather than established ones.
That being said, there is an element of risk. Juventus’ willingness to sell suggests they don’t see Yildiz as irreplaceable. If United were to spend that sum, they’d need assurances about his role and development within the squad.
From a tactical perspective, he could be an excellent fit under a progressive coach. Whether that is Ten Hag or someone else remains to be seen. But if United are serious about bridging the gap to Manchester City and Arsenal, moves like this will define their future.
