The end of a saga could be the start of a new era at Dortmund: Jobe Bellingham has reportedly decided to follow in his brother's footsteps and join Borussia Dortmund!
Both “Sky Germany” and “BILD” have reported on this new decision by the younger Bellingham brother. Dortmund have been informed by his agent and will now go ahead with the talks about a transfer fee for Jobe.
Bellingham has a €40 million exit clause in his contract at Sunderland, but his father Mark has a verbal agreement with the club which allows the 19-year-old to leave for a lower fee - Dortmund are currently hoping for a final fee of €25 million + €5 million in add-ons.
Jobe has played a fantastic season in England's 2nd highest division with Sunderland: he managed 7 goal involvements in 40 games and played a massive part in helping Sunderland getting back into the Premier League after 8 long years.
Bellingham was also named as the Championship's “Young Player of the Season” for the 2024/25 campaign!
RB Leipzig and especially Eintracht Frankfurt were very interested in securing his services for the upcoming season, but were also informed today about his decision to join Dortmund.
“From Birmingham to Borussia”, “Bellingham 2.0”, “The Bellingham blueprint lives on” - there are many headlines only waiting for Jobe's official switch to Dortmund! You'll here all about it right here, as soon as Dortmund come to an agreement with Sunderland.
