Report: Player Chelsea are unhappy with rejects new proposal from the club | OneFootball

Chelsea have been looking at options for Liam Delap as they are unhappy with his progress, with Strasbourg one of those according to our writer Simon Phillips.

Delap joined Chelsea last summer for £30m from Ipswich, and the Blues fought off interest from a number of Premier League clubs to secure his signature.

However, his progress was halted by a hamstring injury that kept him out for a large chunk of the first half of the season, but when he’s played he’s simply not delivered.

Liam Delap not interested in Strasbourg move

Delap has scored two goals in 37 appearances in all competitions this season, with just one of those coming in the Premier League.

The 23-year-old hasn’t scored since a 2-1 defeat to Fulham in January, and speculation is already growing over his future.

It’s been reported Delap wants to stay and fight for his place next season, but he is attracting interest from other clubs.

It’s believed Everton have made Delap one of their targets, and Phillips has reported on his Substack the Blues are exploring options as they aren’t happy with his progress.

He adds one of those options is Strasbourg, but Delap has turned down the proposal every time it’s been presented and wants to stay at Chelsea.
