Igli Tare’s spell as Milan sporting director appears to be coming to an end, with journalist Matteo Moretto reporting that a separation between the Albanian director and the club is increasingly likely in the coming weeks.
According to the reports, via MilanNews24, no official confirmation has been issued, but all signals point clearly towards an imminent parting of ways. The development would represent another significant change in Milan’s leadership structure following a difficult season that has prompted deep reflection across the club’s hierarchy.

Tare’s potential exit raises immediate questions about who will succeed him in managing Milan’s sporting operations, with the club needing clarity in that role ahead of what promises to be a complex and consequential summer transfer window.
The Albanian director joined Milan ahead of the 2024/25 season after leaving Lazio, where he had spent over two decades building one of the most respected recruitment operations in Serie A.
His time at the Rossoneri has coincided with a turbulent period at the club, most recently including the widely reported breakdown in the relationship between senior advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic and head coach Massimiliano Allegri, a situation that has cast a shadow over the entire organisation in recent weeks.
