One reporter is claiming that a player that left Chelsea in the summer did not want to leave the club after all.
Of course, a lot of things happened in the summer window and we saw a lot of players coming and going at Chelsea as we often do.
January will be much quieter I am sure as they try and keep a settled squad. But Chelsea have a bit of a situation up top and it makes you wonder whether they will be going back into the striker market once again in the summer.
Liam Delap has struggled with injuries but as well as that, he has just not been good enough at all when he is on the pitch. Joao Pedro is scoring goals but really, is not a natural number 9. So you can say that Chelsea are still struggling in the 9 position as they have been for a while now.
This has led to some Chelsea fans thinking about Nicolas Jackson and how he left the club to join Bayern Munich on loan in the summer. Some say this was a big mistake and we should have kept him, and apparently he didn’t even want to leave.

According to a report from Rahman Osman of The Sun, Nicolas Jackson did not want to leave Chelsea last summer. Joao Pedro’s impact at the Club World Cup also had an impact as the club thought he could be a number 9. With Liam Delap also arriving and ahead of Jackson, his minutes were gone and Vincent Kompany made the call.
A Chelsea return for Antonio Rudiger anyone? Well, it’s a story that is being reported this week!
Manchester City are seriously looking at Enzo Maresca to replace Pep Guardiola if he leaves in the summer.
