Simone Sozza will referee the Supercoppa Italiana final between Inter Milan and AC Milan.
This is confirmed by the Lega Serie A, via CalcioMercato.com. They also report that Valerio Marini will be on VAR duty for the clash.
Inter take on AC Milan in the Supercoppa Italiana final on Monday evening.
The Nerazzurri booked their place in the final with a victory over Atalanta in the semifinals.
Meanwhile, the Rossoneri came back to beat Juventus in the second semifinal.
This will be the second Milan derby Supercoppa final in three years. Meanwhile, in January of 2023, Inter beat Milan 3-0 to clinch the trophy.
That was the match that kicked off a run of six straight wins by Inter in the derby across all competitions.
However, Milan won the most recent edition of the fixture 2-1.
The referee for Saturday’s match will be Simone Sozza.
Assisting Sozza in his duties will be Ciro Carbone and Alberto Tegoni.
The role of the fourth official, meanwhile, will fall to Michael Fabbri.
In the VAR booth, Valerio Marini will oversee the match to ensure to correct any errors by the on-pitch officials.
Assisting Marini in his duties will be Daniele Doveri.
Inter will be hoping that the focus stays on the action on the pitch rather than refereeing controversy.
