Inter are returning to Champions League action on Tuesday evening.

The Nerazzurri are hosting RB Leipzig at the San Siro in their fifth match of the competition’s “league phase.”

Inter have yet to taste defeat in Europe this season. They have also not conceded a goal in any of their first four matches in the Champions League.

The Nerazzurri drew away to Manchester City in their first match of the season in the Champions League. Wins over Red Star Belgrade, Young Boys, and Arsenal followed.

This has left Inter in a strong position to qualify for the round of sixteen of the competition. They’ll feel that three points against Leipzig would see them put one foot in the knockouts.

Why Inter Holding Pre RB Leipzig Training & Press Conference At San Siro

Tomorrow is the day before Inter’s clash with Leipzig. Therefore, it will be the day in which Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzgahi and one of his players have UEFA media duties.

Normally, in home matches in Europe the press conference takes place at Inter’s training ground, Appiano Gentile.

However, this time around Inter will hold the press conference at the San Siro.

That is because Inzaghi has decided to hold tomorrow’s training session at the San Siro rather than at Appiano.

The reason for this is that there is a freshly-laid pitch at the stadium.

This was used for Italy’s Nations League clash with Belgium during the international break, and then yesterday’s goalless draw between AC Milan and Juventus.

Inzaghi wants to get his players familiar with the new pitch. Therefore, he has decided to hold tomorrow’s training session at the stadium.

As such, with the press conference taking place after the morning training session, Inzaghi and one Inter players will face the press at the stadium tomorrow afternoon.
