Inter Milan fended off several clubs who attempted to lure Davide Frattesi away from San Siro in the summer.

According to Alfredo Pedulla via FCInter1908, that was the reason for putting a substantial €45m price tag on his shoulders.

Many European teams came knocking on Inter’s door, requesting information about Davide Frattesi in the summer.

Indeed, Atletico Madrid and Napoli emerged as the two most genuine suitors, overtaking Roma in the race for his signature.

However, Inter managed to resist interest from all those clubs.

Upon his arrival in the dugout, Cristian Chivu vowed to reignite Frattesi’s career at San Siro.

Therefore, it seemed like the Italian midfielder could finally catch a break after playing a marginal role in Simone Inzaghi’s system.

Furthermore, Chivu’s insistence on keeping Frattesi at the club convinced the Nerazzurri to deter all potential buyers during the summer.

Yet, the Romanian manager has failed to live up to his pre-season promise, leaving Frattesi on the fringes this season.
