Riccardo Calafiori features in a new Adidas advert for the Italy national team, set in a 1950s-style diner where he appears on roller skates serving customers while wearing the new kit.

The ad, filmed in Italy, mixes humour and nostalgia, showing Calafiori gliding confidently around the diner as the camera focuses on the design details of Italy’s latest Adidas strip.

Fans online have praised the advert for its originality and fun tone, describing it as a refreshing change from the usual kit launches.

Calafiori’s growing profile for both club and country has made him a key face in Adidas’s European campaigns.

Earlier this year he also fronted their “Active Flex” range, promoting the brand’s performance and comfort wear for athletes.

During the international break, Italy will face Moldova on Thursday before returning to Italy to play Norway.

The Italians are currently second in the group, behind Martin Odegaard‘s Norway, who are on the verge of qualifying for their first major tournament in 25 years.

The Arsenal captain, who is currently out with a knee injury, will travel with his national teammates in a non-playing role to offer his support.

A win against Estonia on Thursday for the Norwegians would leave Italy needing to win both their final games, including the match against Norway, while also facilitating a 16 goal swing in goal difference, in order to take top spot in the group.
