Rice Gets 9, Eze With 8 | Arsenal Players Rated In Impressive Win Vs Bayer Leverkusen

Arsenal entertained Bayer 04 Leverkusen at the Emirates Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to secure a good result at home in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League last-16 tie. The Gunners made a quick start to the game and scored the opening goal in the 36th minute thanks to Eberechi Eze’s excellent strike. Mikel Arteta’s men went into the half-time interval 1-0 up on the scoreline.
Declan Rice doubled Arsenal’s lead in the 63rd minute as the Gunners ended up earning an impressive 2-0 win on the night (3-1 on aggregate).
He made a couple of solid saves at the back and did enough to keep a clean sheet tonight.
RB: Ben White – 6.5/10
White earned the ball back once and made one good chance going forward.
CB: William Saliba – 7/10
He dealt with the danger when he could and did well to secure the shutout.
CB: Gabriel – 7.5/10
The Brazilian talent gave a good account of himself on the defensive third of the pitch.

LB: Piero Hincapie – 8/10
He performed his defensive duties well and had a couple of bright moments going forward.
CM: Declan Rice – 9/10
Rice was a positive influence at both ends of the field and deserves credit for getting his name on the scoresheet after the hour mark.
CM: Martin Zubimendi – 7/10
He anchored the midfield well and was a good presence on the ball.
RW: Bukayo Saka – 8/10
Saka was a real threat in the final third, but there was no goal for him.
CAM: Eberechi Eze – 8/10
He managed to shine at times in and around the Leverkusen penalty area and scored the opener with a great strike in the 36th minute.
LW: Leandro Trossard – 7.5/10
Trossard was a constant menace in the final third and has got an assist to show for his efforts.
ST: Viktor Gyokeres – 7/10
He was a real handful for the opposition defenders, but there was no goal for him.
Substitutes:
CM: Christian Norgaard – 6.5/10
He added some energy to Arteta’s midfield.
LW: Gabriel Martinelli – 6/10
Martinelli made one key chance in the final third.
ST: Kai Havertz – 6/10
His impact on the game was minimal.
