Richard Ríos posted "tudo passa" on Instagram after the serious injury that rules him out of Benfica’s next fixtures. The midfielder addressed supporters with a brief message, showing optimism about his recovery.

He was hurt in the Taça de Portugal tie at Porto, departing in the first half after a clash with Gabri Veiga. He was substituted immediately and left the pitch on a stretcher.

Medical tests revealed an anterior traumatic dislocation of his right shoulder. He now faces a spell out for treatment.

In a best-case scenario, the number 20 will miss five matches, against Rio Ave, Juventus, Estrela da Amadora, Real Madrid and Tondela. A return is pencilled in for the 21st round of Liga Portugal Betclic, against Alverca.

This season he has made 32 appearances for Benfica, 16 in Liga Portugal Betclic, 10 in the Champions League, three in the Taça de Portugal, two in the Taça da Liga and one in the Supertaça. Across 2,622 minutes he has scored three goals and supplied two assists. He is valued at 22 million euros.
