Richards Bay claimed the KZN bragging rights following a 2-0 win over AmaZulu in a Betway Premiership encounter at uMhlathuze Sports Complex on Friday evening.

The home side broke the deadlock 16 minutes after the first whistle thanks to Moses Mthembu, who ensured a lead at halftime.

Ronnie Gabriel's men put the game beyond reasonable doubt when Wandile Ngema scored in the 84th minute to secure a crucial win.

With the result, The Natal Rich Boys extended their unbeaten run in the league to four games and ascended to ninth place with 17 points from 14 outings.

Meanwhile, Usuthu remained stagnant in fifth, having accumulated 21 points in 13 matches in the South African topflight division.
