Richards Bay co-coach Ronnie Gabriel has highlighted a key area the Natal Rich Boys must improve on for the remainder of the season.
The KZN outfit was sent packing out of the Carling Knockout Cup by Orlando Pirates at the weekend, falling to a solitary goal from Tshepang Moremi in the semi-final.
Despite the defeat, Gabriel's men managed to get a sight of Sipho Chaine's goal on several occasions, but couldn't make the net bulge.
Now, the former Uthongathi mentor has called on his troops to have a killer instinct in front of goals, while acknowledging the squad at his disposal is fairly young.
“I feel that we could be much better in the final third, we could get better in those areas. If chances present themselves, we also need to take them and win games. Maybe improve in terms of our conversion rate,” said Gabriel.
"And it's something that we work on daily in training. It's a growing squad, it's a team that's full of youngsters and they will learn from this experience and they will get better going forward.
Following a third consecutive semi-final exit in the League Cup, Richards Bay will return to Betway Premiership action with a clash against Durban City in the KZN derby after the international break.
